Career Exploration Opportunities for Students
(Outside the School Day)
NaviGo offers multiple free, out-of-school career exploration experiences that help students uncover interests, connect with professionals, gain hands-on skills, and plan confidently for life after high school.
NaviGo Scholars (FREE)
NaviGo Scholars is a free, structured career exploration program for high school students. Students apply to join industry-specific cohorts where they learn through real work experiences, coaching, and networking. Meetings are held twice a month in the afternoon/early evening.
What Students Do
- Meet with business sponsors and industry professionals
- Engage in hands-on activities related to careers
- Work with a dedicated NaviGo Coach who supports career planning
- Build workplace readiness skills and professional confidence
- Explore career pathways in fields like artificial intelligence, automotive, construction, cyber security, manufacturing, mental health, education, and more (varies by year)
Who Is it For?
High school students (grades 9–12) interested in exploring careers and gaining real-world experience.
One-Day Career Experiences (FREE)
In addition to our Scholars programs, NaviGo offers one-day career exploration events that allow students to engage in hands-on, interactive experiences within specific career industries. These events give students the opportunity to explore a wide range of careers within each industry, helping them better understand pathways, required education, and real-world opportunities.
Example: Healthcare Careers in a Day
Students participate in real-world problem solving and career exploration through hands-on simulations, case studies, group projects, and discussions with industry professionals.

Summer Career Camps (FREE)
Each summer, NaviGo partners with area industry leaders, and Gateway Community & Technical College, to offer career-focused camps. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, participation is completely FREE, and lunch is provided. Camp experiences range from one to four days, depending on the program.
