DESCRIPTION:NaviGo and KHEAA have teamed up to bring you a FREE virtual workshop on all of the changes to the 2024 FAFSA Application. Learn about those changes\, ask questions\, and meet the NKY KHEAA Outreach Counselor\, Montanna McClain. Workshop link will be emailed to all registrants at end of day Friday\, January 19th. \nREGISTER by January 19th. \nKHEAA is the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority\, a state agency established in 1966 to improve students’ access to higher education. We offer FAFSA verification and student default prevention services to higher education institutions across the country. KHEAA also provides state aid such as the Kentucky Education Excellence Scholarship (KEES) program\, the College Access Program Grant (CAP)\, the Kentucky Tuition Grant (KTG) and other scholarship\, grant and work-study programs. \n  \n

SUMMARY:MAKEUC Hackathon
DESCRIPTION:MakeUC is a 24-hour hackathon hosted by IEEE at the University of Cincinnati. MakeUC was first held as a fully-online hackathon in the fall of 2020. We then had our first hybrid hackathon in 2021\, which was a huge success! We have continued hosting MakeUC both in person and online every fall since then\, and we always do our best to improve the hacker experience from year to year. We consistently have over two dozen amazing sponsors\, hundreds of registrants\, tens of thousands of dollars in prizes\, and plenty of fun activities.

DESCRIPTION:Andy Beshear has designated October as Manufacturing Month in the commonwealth as the sector continues to be at the center of Kentucky’s record economic growth and job creation with approximately 5\,000 facilities statewide employing more than 250\,000 Kentuckians. \nLorraine O’Moore\, NaviGo’s Director of Work-based Learning\, works hard to collaborate with the manufacturing industry in NKY and the region to provide a plethora of opportunities to area high school students. Lorraine schedules tours for schools and student groups to close the exposure gap around manufacturing careers.
